Who is this course for?

Whether you are a social worker, case manager, counsellor, or support worker, you will encounter difficult situations at your workplace and in service delivery when a person presents with behaviour that appears ‘challenging’.

This short training uses a trauma-informed lens to view these behaviours as symptoms of maladaptive coping strategies. Trauma-informed responses and practices are explored; these are essential to building safe services and reducing the likelihood of difficult situations.

Practical trauma-informed de-escalation and intervention techniques that can be used in your everyday practice will also be provided.
