Pilbara Community Legal Service – Indigenous Advancement Outreach Program

The program provides outreach to Indigenous people across the Pilbara and travels to deliver family law services and advice in matters such as wills, deceased estates, assist widowed family members to apply for probate, estate planning, advice and representation on civil matters (not including family and domestic violence) and enduring powers of attorney and guardianship.

REFAP

REFAP was established to help more Aboriginal people gain skilled, long-term employment in Pilbara workplaces. REFAP is the operator of the Community Development Program (CDP): Under the CDP, future employees and employers benefit from a range of innovative and effective free services that give them the resources and guidance they need to succeed, such as:

  • community support
  • connecting job seekers in the Karratha region
  • workplace mentoring
  • hosted work placement
  • employer incentive scheme

Aboriginal Family Legal Service

Aboriginal Family Law Service assists Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people live free from family violence and sexual assault. We not only offer free legal services, but community education and early intervention and prevention programs as well.
