The Carnarvon Medical Service Aboriginal Corporation is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service that provides health and medical services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Carnarvon and surrounding communities, such as Mungullah, Gascoyne Junction, and Burringurrah.
CMSAC provide primary health programs, secondary health medical services, and tertiary specialist and allied health services that include:
|The Aboriginal Family Law Services can assist people with their family law matters when there are children involved. They will represent clients in the Family Court WA, however much of their work involves helping clients to work out parenting agreements. Here are some things they can help with:
The Carnarvon office also services Burringurrah, Exmouth, Shark Bay and Onslow.
|The Carnarvon Service provides services for Indigenous people which include child health and immunisation, dental health, environmental health, general consultations, outreach services to in the Mungullah Community within the Gascoyne Junction region, which are closed every second Friday, visits by health specialists and pharmacy services.|
We are here to provide crisis support 24/7 to yarn with you without judgement and provide a confidential, culturally safe space to yarn about your needs, worries or concerns. We will work with you to explore options for on-going support. You know you will be connected to another Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander person who will understand where you are coming from and value knowing HOW to listen, without judgement or shame.
Over the past two years DVassist has been offering a telephone and webchat counselling service as part of a pilot project funded by the Commonwealth Government.
The project is now complete and consequently our counselling services are no longer operating as of Friday 21 October 2022.
