Midwest Mental Health and Community Alcohol and Drug Service

The Midwest Mental Health and Community Alcohol and Drug Service provides assessment, treatment and advice to people with moderate to severe mental health and/or drug and alcohol issues. They also support carers, other local health services and other agencies that work with people experiencing mental health and/or drug and alcohol issues in various ways such:

  • Needle exchanges;
  • Individual and group counselling;
  • Referrals to detox and rehabilitation services;
  • Intervention programs;
  • Drug and alcohol education and awareness programs in the community

Rural Health Connect is a website and app that links people in rural Australia to psychologists via video conferencing technology. Their site allows people to conduct sessions with psychologists from the privacy of their own home with no travel or wait time and no stigma.

Here for You

A state-wide, confidential, non-judgemental, telephone service giving a single point of contact for anyone concerned about their own or another person’s alcohol and other drug use and/or mental health issues.  Contact is one-to-one with a qualified counsellor or professional peer practitioner based in WA. Peer practitioners have a lived experience of alcohol and other drug use and/or mental health issues and recovery and are trained to use their experiences to support individuals living with similar issues.
