Case Management, Counselling, Support & Advocacy and Mediation Services are provided in many areas of inquiry through referrals from other agencies, self-referrals and from parents who
may require assistance. Counselling is included in the case management process but some clients attend for counselling only, which is available in the following areas:
Karijini Family Violence Counselling and Prevention. Karijini Family Violence Advocacy is a free community service for people struggling with personal, emotional and family issues. It provides confidential support and domestic violence counselling through a non-threatening, non-judgmental and informal approach. Prevention and education programs are also a vital part of this service and are delivered in Tom Price, Wakuthuni, Bellary Springs, Yongaleena and Paraburdoo.
The Women’s Health and Midwife clinic is a safe, supportive and confidential space for women to discuss any concerns or find out more information about their health. They can receive health screening and advice on a range of women’s health issues as well as evidence-based, continuity of care throughout pregnancy and after birth.

The Women’s Domestic Violence Helpline is a state wide 24 hour service. This service provides support and counselling for women experiencing family and domestic violence. This includes:
QLife provides Australia-wide anonymous, LGBTI peer support and referral for people wanting to talk about a range of issues including sexuality, identity, gender, bodies, feelings or relationships.
QLife services are free and include both telephone and webchat support, delivered by trained LGBTI community members across the country. Services are for LGBTI individuals, their friends and families, and health professionals in Australia.
The Women’s Legal Service WA is a free community legal centre providing legal advice, support and advocacy to WA women experiencing disadvantage. They can assist women with:
The Safe Connections program provides tech-abuse advice to women who are experiencing technology-facilitated abuse as well as being able to provide women (and children) affected by domestic, family or sexual violence with a free Safe Connections phones and top-up credit (eligible clients can top-up 3 times in the financial year).
They also provide tech-abuse advice where they can organise appointments with one of our tech experts.
The DVassist counselling service is available Monday to Friday, from 10 am to 7 pm, via free call 1800 080 083 to anyone living in remote, regional, and rural Western Australia. We provide information and support for women, men and young people living in remote, regional, and rural Western Australia experiencing family and domestic violence.
