The Wiluna Town Bush Fire Brigade is the only fire and emergency within the Shire of Wiluna. Their volunteers are diverse and come from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences. |
The council of Wiluna is empowered to make local laws which regulate and control certain activities and functions within the Shire.
Other legislation provides Council with responsibility for matters such as health, building, planning and local laws, as well as administration of policies and legislations.
Delivers a non-residential trauma-informed service that is culturally responsive and safe, with prioritised placements for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, their families and communities. They provide a flexible model of care that allows for outreach, drop-in support and care on Country for individuals, families and community groups. They accept referrals by any individual, family member, agency or organisation that requires a Social and Emotional Wellbeing related support in the region. It is their priority to support the community to have access to a high standard of care that fits with Wiluna Martu Services and projects are also co-designed, which involves ongoing consultation, collaboration and two-way This service is partially funded by the WA Primary Health Alliance |
Hendercare provides a service to help get individuals into the workforce, become an active member of the the community, or further develop communication skills.
As an experienced NDIS provider, its their job to support individuals in achieving their goals and strengthening their capacity to live confidently in the community.
Based in Geraldton, Midwest Community Alcohol and Drug Services provides a fortnightly outreach service to Kalbarri, Dongara, Northampton, Mullewa, Morawa, Three Springs and Eneabba.
Once a month the team also travels to Yalgoo, Cue, Mt Magnet, Meekatharra and Wiluna.
The Midwest Mental Health and Community Alcohol and Drug Service provides assessment, treatment and advice to people with moderate to severe mental health and/or drug and alcohol issues. They also support carers, other local health services and other agencies that work with people experiencing mental health and/or drug and alcohol issues in various ways such:
