Quick Exit

DVassist’s Recovery and Healing Retreats are designed for women who have experienced family and domestic violence, including those who are working towards safety (i.e. separation), and who are seeking support, connection, and opportunities to rebuild their lives.

Held in regional towns and delivered in partnership with local organisations and communities, these retreats provide a safe and supportive environment where women can access psychoeducation, practical skills, and connections to new services and resources as part of their ongoing journey toward safety, recovery, and healing.

Each retreat is tailored to meet the unique needs of the local community, while also aligning with DVassist’s key pillars of recovery for women impacted by family and domestic violence:

  • Physical and psychological health and well-being
  • Financial stability and support
  • Long-term safety planning and ongoing risk management
  • Housing support
  • Legal information and support
