Albany Youth Support Association – Reconnect

This free early intervention program for young people aged 12 to 18 years helps to build bridges and foster new ties between young people and their families. It also strengthens their connections with the community, and improves their engagement with work, education and training. Through Reconnect, outreach youth workers provide mentoring, advocacy, case management, family mediation, leadership and confidence activities, camps, and referrals to specialist services such as family counselling. Young people aged 12 to 18 years who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, and their families.

Albany Women’s Centre – Anglicare WA

Albany Women’s Centre offers women, with or without children, affected by family and domestic violence a safe refuge and support services. There is a mobile Outreach Initiative which services Albany, Denmark and Mount Barker.

Recovery Program

  • A recovery coach can work on recovery goals

Community Supported Residential Units (CSRU) provide:

  • Single or Double units (double units have own ensuite bathroom)
  • Recovery coaches support with activities of daily living such as: housekeeping, budgeting, cooking, attending activities
  • Help with bill paying, shopping, social outings, attending appointments.
  • Linking in with GP’s, counsellors, employment services and more

Outreach Support:

  • Outreach Recovery Coaches visit you in your home or in the community to provide advocacy, support and assistance with your daily life and recovery goals.
  • Your GP, psychologist or other clinicians can refer you to Albany Halfway House Association.

• Have a regular source of income (they can help you apply for Centrelink payments).
• Have independent living skills (e.g. cooking, cleaning, laundry, using public transport).
• Be willing and able to live communally

AccordWest – Collie House

Collie House provides 2 short term crisis accommodation units in Collie for women aged 25-44 and their children at risk of becoming homeless. If you’re exiting a living situation that may have left you feeling unsafe or at risk, these self contained units are available for up to 3 months and will help provide stability, security and reliability for your family as you wait for community accommodation to become available.

AccordWest – Bunyap House

Located on Forest Avenue, Bunbury, Bunyap House helps young people enjoy the feeling of having a place to call ‘home’, giving them the opportunity to gain life skills, have a crack at washing, cooking and a bit of cleaning while receiving support for school or other education. With room for six, Bunyap House is a discrimination free zone.
