Great Southern Community Alcohol and Drug Service – Albany

The Great Southern Community Alcohol and Drug Service (GSCADS) team supports communities across the vast region from Walpole to Bremer Bay, and north to Kojonup, Katanning and Lake Grace as well as many places in between.

Our services are free, confidential and everyone is welcome.

Family and Domestic Violence Service

The Domestic and Family Violence WA service works with people living in Newman and Karratha who are experiencing family and domestic violence. The service will provide case management support and connection to other services in the community. Assistance also provided for those who use violence in the home.

We have offices in Busselton, Dunsborough and Margaret River and offer face to face counselling Monday – Thursday. Phone and virtual services are also available. The administration and intake team answer queries 5 days a week.

Share and Care – Narrogin Outreach Counselling Service

This program offers outreach support to women who have recently utilised the Women’s Refuge or feel they need support to work through Family & Domestic Violence issues in their existing relationships. 
Our Support Workers maintain confidentiality, are highly skilled and will provide women with referrals to other agencies, court support and teach daily living skills where requested. Support for the clients is ongoing until the client indicates the support is no longer required. The counsellor (Psychologist) is in Narrogin, transport by the outreach support workers will be provided where requested by the client.

Wheatbelt Alcohol and Drug Service

They offer counselling and support to people who may be experiencing problems with their own or someone else’s substance use. Individual counselling is available along with specially designed programs to assist individuals and their families to cope with the consequences of alcohol and other drug use. Their team provides specialised counselling and support for:
