Great Southern Community Alcohol and Drug Service – Palmerston Albany

Palmerston’s services are free and confidential. What does Palmerston offer:

Goldfields Rehabilitation Services Inc – Outreach Program

The aim of the Outreach program is to help people facing alcohol, drug and mental health issues to link to other services in the community who can assist in their recovery. They work with each person, one-to-one, to get better counselling and other professional services. Outreach understands the community and each person’s needs and helps provide safe and culturally respectful opportunities to address the issues faced, by caring for the whole person. Outreach aims to reduce alcohol and drug use, improve the wellbeing and lifestyle of clients and support clients through the journey before and after rehabilitation. Fusion Geraldton – Community Supported Residential Unit

In Geraldton we work in our community supplying accommodation that focuses on mental health and living well. The CSRU. is a medium to long term transitional service. Taking in residents who need a new start, bringing stability to their lives and connecting residents with appropriate services and finally when the resident is ready, transition them into their own place with support if needed.

Referrals are only accepted from Midwest Mental Health Services, a private psychiatrist or GP with the consent of the person wanting a place at the CSRU.

Derby Youth Centre

The Derby Youth service focus is about developing opportunities for innovative, safe, youth-oriented recreation, leisure and cultural activities. They also offer help to young people with complex needs around issues such as drugs and alcohol, relationships, mental health and abuse. Youth workers can respond to individual crises and offer referral to relevant services.

The Youth Centre offers a comprehensive school holiday program as well as structured activities during term time such as sporting competitions, arts and crafts, music and healthy eating. The centre is equipped with a kitchen, skate park, basketball court, computers, pool table, table tennis table and video games.
