If you cannot find local mental health support services for your area, there is a list of state and national mental health support services at the bottom of this page, including those offering counselling and referral services.

KMHDS provides specialist mental health services to the Kimberley for all age groups. The service aims to deliver a comprehensive range of high quality, community focused mental health services to residents of & visitors to the Kimberley. KCADS provides assessment, counselling and referral and support to people who are experiencing problems as a result of their own, or someone else’s alcohol or drug use. Participation in KCADS services is voluntary.

Karratha Health Campus provides a 24 hours, 7 day emergency department.
Karratha Health Campus provides integrated health services including physiotherapy, speech therapy, counselling, community health nursing and community mental health.
Mission Australia delivers the Integrated Primary Mental Health Care (IPMHC) service across the Pilbara to people who are experiencing psychological distress, depression, anxiety and other symptoms of distress. A priority of this service is to deliver culturally secure support; MA subcontracts services to Bloodwood Tree for culturally appropriate services to Aboriginal people. The IPMHC provides brief intervention, counselling and case coordination. Individuals can be referred through General Practitioners and other Health Care Providers – self referrals are also accepted.
Mission Australia provides an outreach program that visits Karingal on a fortnightly basis.
Referrals: The referred referral method is through your General Practitioner, however there are other referral options:
Aboriginal Mental Health, Older Adult Mental Health, Emergency mental health intervention, Suicide prevention/intervention, Anxiety disorders, Depression, Schizophrenia, acute and persistent, Bipolar affective disorder.
