The aim of the program is to help older people live as independently as possible. The program is for people aged 65 years and over. The program also includes support services for prematurely aged people on a low income who are 50 years or over and are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Depending on individuals needs, they may be eligible to receive:

The Goomalling Hospital has a 24 hour accident and emergency service with four acute care beds. There is a community health centre and aged care services, as well as a range of onsite and visiting specialists. Goomalling offers aged care facilities including: Home and Community Care Service Quamby Lodge (Goomalling and Districts Frail Aged Lodge with four rooms) The beautiful Sunshine Home (nursing home with six rooms) a palliative care room and a respite room |
Goldfields Geriatric ACAT consists of a team of medical, nursing and allied health professionals who assess the physical, psychological, medical, restorative, cultural and social needs of frail older people and help them and their carers to access appropriate levels of support. |
