headspace Esperance

headspace Esperance is linked to headspace Kalgoorlie which is a service tailored for the local community.

If you ever feel that you:

  • are feeling down or stressed or worried
  • can’t deal with school, bullying or struggling with friendships
  • want to talk about contraception, sexual health, sexuality, identity or relationships, drinking or drug use

headspace Esperance is a safe place where you can come to have a yarn about any of these issues. They provide early intervention services to young people aged 12 to 25.

headspace Albany

headspace Albany supports young people 12 – 25 who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health concerns and/or substance use issues, and their family and friends.
headspace Albany is easy to access for young people and their families, with no referral required to use the services.

PLEASE NOTE: headspace Albany is moving some services to screen to screen and phone-based delivery, in line with the recommendations around keeping safe physical distance. Some counsellors will be starting work from home next week, and where possible they ask that everyone accessing support think about getting in touch via phone or video conferencing.

Boab Health – ABLe

The ABLe program aims to improve the independence, participation and long-term lifetime wellbeing of people living in Wyndham who are affected by mental health issues, which includes issues with drug and alcohol misuse and/or gambling. This program includes building personal resilience and supporting participants to sustainably manage the impacts of their mental health issues. This program is open to people living in Wyndham, who are aged 16 to 65 years.

Kimberley Mental Health and Drug Service (KMHDS) – Kununurra

KMHDS provides specialist mental health services to the Kimberley for all age groups. The service aims to deliver a comprehensive range of high quality, community focused mental health services to residents of & visitors to the Kimberley. KCADS provides assessment, counselling and referral and support to people who are experiencing problems as a result of their own, or someone else’s alcohol or drug use. Participation in KCADS services is voluntary.

HelpingMinds – YoungMinds

YoungMinds is a program to assist families living in the Kimberley.

The program is aimed at children 0-18 years, who are experiencing emotional difficulties in their lives or are at risk of developing mental health issues.

The service provides free, practical counselling and support for young people and families for up to 12 months, introducing coping skills and how to develop your individual strengths

Kimberley Mental Health and Drug Service – Derby

These services are free and confidential and provide individuals and their families with alcohol and other drug treatment and support services in the community.

Services are provided for people aged 14 years and over, their carers and their families. CADS will also provide support for families and services dealing with people younger than 14 years.

Individuals do not require a referral and can self-refer by calling or attending their nearest CADS.

Based in Broome the Kimberley Community Alcohol and Drug Services has offices in Derby and Kununurra, and also provides regular outreach services to outlying communities across the Kimberley region.
