Escare – Youth Service

Escare runs a part-time Youth Service that offers a regular group, information, referrals, advocacy, one to one assistance and recreational activities to you “at risk” people, ages between 12-18 years, in Esperance. The service objective is to:

  • Reduce the overall level of risk for the young person
  • Improve relationships with family, school and community where appropriate
  • Link young people to relevant services such as employment, training and education, accommodation, counselling, and other support services as deemed appropriate.
  • Enhance a young person’s ability to effectively manage their lives and increase their resilience.

Over the past two years DVassist has been offering a telephone and webchat counselling service as part of a pilot project funded by the Commonwealth Government.

The project is now complete and consequently our counselling services are no longer operating as of Friday 21 October 2022.
