The Domestic Violence Outreach Program is an early intervention and prevention strategy aimed at breaking the cycle of family and domestic violence. The program aims to engage and provide support to victims and perpetrators. The goals of the program is to enhance the safety of victims and children, to hold perpetrators accountable by working with the perpetrator services in order to maximise safety for women and children and to work towards changes in violent behaviour.
Domestic Violence workers assist with:
- Risk assessment
- Safety planning
- Welfare/safety/security checks
- Linking clients to a wide range of services that address their expressed needs
