
All staff exposed to trauma in their work are at risk of vicarious trauma. This 90-minute workshop provides an overview of vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue, and burnout, while offering organisational prevention strategies and self-care techniques for individuals working with victim-survivors of family and domestic violence (FDV).

- Differentiate between vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue and burnout
- Recognise the symptoms of vicarious trauma for those who work alongside clients with experiences of psychological trauma
- Identify individual and organisational vicarious trauma management strategies
