
Who is this training for?
This training is for managers, professionals and practitioners who work in various community services (child protection, mental health, legal, alcohol and other drugs, health and allied health, and family, domestic and sexual violence).
In this short online training, participants will learn the foundations of trauma-informed care and practice, why it is needed, and familiarise themselves with the principles that underpin these approaches. Guidance will be provided on implementing trauma-informed care and practice in service and organisational settings, and trauma-informed frameworks and resources will be shared.
It specifically supports organisations in planning and developing trauma-informed programs and services.
Learning outcomes
After completing this online training, participants will be able to:
- Define trauma-informed care and practice
- Describe the principles fundamental to trauma-informed care and practice
- Apply trauma-informed care and practice in your service settings
- Identify key information and frameworks to support the embedment of trauma-informed practice in your organisation
Duration
This online training, including the activity workbook, will take you approximately 1 hour to complete. The workbook contains ten activities.
