The team is multidisciplinary, working closely with mental health service providers, medical and health professionals, Department of Community Development, Department of Corrective Services, other human service providers and local communities.
Our aim is to provide (free of charge) easily accessible counselling and support for individual’s and their significant others and consultation, shared case management, education, training and counselling for the community of the South West.
Offers support programs for a variety of life situations. The types of life trauma include grief, divorce, depression, substance misuse, childhood issues, relationship breakdown, unemployment, blended family issues, current or past abuse and all manner of other life issues.
|Silver Chain Health Service remote area nurses have a wealth of experience and provide services including:
General health assessments;
Chronic disease management;
Advanced treatment for illness and injuries;
Emergency response in life threatening situations;
Health promotion and co-ordination of public health care.
The service works closely with the Royal Flying Doctor Service and St John’s Ambulance for emergency response and transfer, and co-ordinate visits from general practitioners (GPs) and health specialists to ensure that communities receive ongoing health care services. This can include:
