Centrecare – South West Housing Support Service

Centrecare’s Housing Support Service in the South West aims to support people who are having problems relating to alcohol and/or drug use to secure and maintain stable accommodation and avoid homelessness.
 
The service can assist you:
 
• to access and continue engagement with your specialist drug and/or alcohol services
• to access and maintain long term stable accommodation
• reconnect with your family including children if this is possible
• to budget more effectively and manage your finances
in accessing education, employment training opportunities, income entitlement, medical care etc.
• with support to attend groups and courses to improve relationships with others, life skills, gain confidence, and develop positive options for the future
• link with positive recreational and leisure activities; and
access counselling or other support services for you or others living with you if needed

Boab Health – ABLe

The ABLe program aims to improve the independence, participation and long-term lifetime wellbeing of people living in Wyndham who are affected by mental health issues, which includes issues with drug and alcohol misuse and/or gambling. This program includes building personal resilience and supporting participants to sustainably manage the impacts of their mental health issues. This program is open to people living in Wyndham, who are aged 16 to 65 years.

The Bloodwood Tree counselling & support teams are here to help anyone who is struggling with drug or alcohol addiction, family violence or any family affected by substance abuse.

Bloodwood Tree – Sobering Up Centre (Wapa Maya)

This service is a 16 bed facility and operates between 4:00pm and 8:00am Monday to Friday, including Friday night and all Public Holidays. The Sobering Up Centre is designed to provide Bloodwood Tree clients with a safe environment and access to bathroom facilities, a bed, clean clothes, simple nutritious meals, non-judgemental non-discriminatory care and referral to other agencies and services if required.

Bega Garnbirringu Health Service – Sobering Up Shelter

The shelter provides a place for those affected by drugs and/or alcohol that is a safe and secure place to sober up away from incarceration and dangers. Clients who are repeat clients will receive assistance with their alcohol & other drug issues through a referral service for counselling or other support.

Avon Community Services – Youth Services

ACS deliver two programs throughout the Wheatbelt that are aimed at young people who are At Risk. The programs focus on the education of young people about the Effects of Drugs, Alcohol & Tobacco, Social & Emotional Well-being, Sexual Education & Connection to Country & Community. ACS also offer a mentoring service for young people, delivered in a Case Management Model that offers low level support for young people needing some guidance. Avon Community Services deliver Housing Services throughout the Wheatbelt in both supported and unsupported accommodation. ACS also provide supported accommodation to young people aged 15 – 25.
Outreach services offered in Moora, Merredin and Narrogin.
