Laura visited Karratha from the 20th to 23rd July to meet with local community groups, service providers, stakeholders and allied health professionals to discuss local Family and Domestic Violence needs.
Laura attended the WACOSS Pilbara Family and Domestic Violence conference, which featured speakers Jess Hill, Professor Donna Chung, Psychologist Victoria Hovane and Danny Brown, to discuss family and domestic violence research, local responses and best practice approaches. The conference was inspiring, motivating and educational to all who attended, and the team at DVassist would like to thank Celeste Stephens for organising an excellent conference for the Pilbara region.
DVassist is also excited to announce our working partnerships with local Family and Domestic Violence services to provide support to the local community. Planning is underway for hosting an event with Anglicare, PCLS, the Women’s refuge and the Karratha Women’s Place for Women’s Health Week from 6th to 10th September in Karratha. We look forward to seeing you there.
