Financial Counselling: How can KCLS help?

  • Complete a budget with you;
  • Contact other services and agencies to confirm your bills and debts;
  • Call Horizon Power if you are struggling to pay your power bill, and you want Horizon Power to approve you for a government payment towards your bill: the Hardship Utilities Grant Scheme (HUGS);
  • Apply for some of your debts to be forgiven because of your hardship; and
  • Deal with debt collectors.

Centrelink: How can KCLS help?

  • Arranging Centrepay deductions to pay bills and rent
  • helping you understand payments and confirm your entitlements
  • Appealing Centrelink decisions you do not agree with
  • Talking to you about Centrelink in your community

KGT Employment runs diverse pre-employment programs targeted at disadvantaged people to gain core skills leading to increased opportunities, such as apprenticeships, traineeships, or employment.
The objectives of the Pre-employment Training Programs are to provide:

  • training activities leading to or directly linking to employment
  • training to increase the employability skills of people from disadvantaged backgrounds
  • training to encourage participants to undertake further VET training and skill development.

Forrest Personnel Esperance

Forrest Personnel is a not-for-profit organisation committed to building stronger communities through increased employment and strong partnerships. We are a specialist employment agency, delivering Disability Employment Services (DES) and National Disability Insurance Scheme NDIS. Forrest Personnel help job seekers with health conditions, including anxiety and depression, disability or injury to find sustainable work. There is no charge for the service.

Forrest Personnel – Albany

Forrest Personnel assist people from all ages to find work. Services include:
 
Disability Support Services – for people with a health condition, disability or injury who can work between 8 hours and 30 hours per week. It is for for jobseekers who are not expected to need long-term support in the workplace to maintain employment but may need irregular support to keep a job. Employment Support Service is for jobseekers who have a permanent disability and will require regular and ongoing support to keep a job.
 
NDIS – for people with a disability who can work between 1-7 hours per week. Forrest Personnel specialise in delivering assistance to access and maintain employment through individualised support to people living with a disability in the South West.

Esperance Care Services – Regener8

The ReJener8 course is designed to assist women to identify their strengths and skills, to build self-confidence and provide support for their first steps of connecting into the community, and to ultimately achieving their goals. The aim of this course is to provide encouragement and skills for women who are looking to re-enter the work force or take up volunteering or study opportunities, but are lacking the confidence and knowledge to take even the first step to reaching their goals.

Employment Plus is a proud member of The Salvation Army network. They provide job seekers with specialised training, work experience and a range of support services, to help them find meaningful employment.
 
Job Seeker Services:
• Training and Placement – offers training and upskilling for job seekers, through a range of accredited and non-accredited courses.
