The aim of the Beagle Bay Health Centre is to provide primary health services and accident and emergency care to Aboriginal people living in the remote Beagle Bay community. The centre is staffed by general practitioners, registered nurses and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workers and offers the following services:
- child and maternal health
- men’s health
- women’s health
- school health
- immunisations
- chronic disease management, screening and prevention
- health promotion programs
- 24 hour accident and emergency service
- allied and specialist health visits
- medication management.
