The Karratha Women’s Inc aims to make a positive difference to the health and wellbeing of women of all ages, religions, cultural backgrounds and sexual orientations living in the City of Karratha.
Programs include:
• Conversation Cafe – it is a monthly morning tea that offers an opportunity for women of all ages to meet and make new friends
• Chit Chat Online Catch Up
• Counselling – Dee is a qualified counsellor with over 20 years’ experience working in the community service industry. She will happily listen to your problems/issues and then guide you to the best resource or resolution.
• The Karratha Stronger Aboriginal Women’s Group – to ensure that Aboriginal women of all ages, living in the City of Karratha, are supported and have the opportunity to achieve their full potential.
• Multicultural Women’s Group – it is a group of women from different cultural backgrounds who get together to discuss issues that may be affecting their wellbeing in a safe, and friendly environment.
• Community Awareness Presentations
• Health Awareness Presentations – sessions cover a range of health topics revolving around physical, mental as well as sexual health.
• Mix and Match Fitness – supports the physical health of women in the City of Karratha, where qualified trainers facilitate each session and cover a range of exercise.
• Yarn with Yarn – a popular weekly knitting and crochet social group, which aims to decrease social isolation and increase social networks.
