Pilbara Community Legal Service – Domestic Violence Outreach Program

The domestic violence outreach (DVO) Service is aimed at breaking the cycle of family and domestic violence. This service is provided to the West Pilbara region and works closely beside their KWS service.
The program aims to engage and provide support to victims and perpetrators. The initiative of the DVO service is to enhance the safety of victims and children, to hold perpetrators accountable by working with the perpetrator services in order to maximise safety for women and children and to work towards changes in violent behaviour.

Their domestic violence workers assist with:
• Risk assessment
• Safety planning
• Welfare/safety/security checks
• Linking clients to a wide range of services that address their expressed needs
• The service can provide both practical and emotional support for victims of domestic violence. You do not need to leave the perpetrator to access support.
