Relationships Australia WA – Djnda Service

They provide support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women in Perth metropolitan area who have experienced family violence and/or sexual assault. They are Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal women, mothers and sisters who care about the future of Aboriginal communities. They have personal and professional experience and understanding of family violence.

In addition to face-to-face meetings and support to attend appointments, they provide advocacy, referrals and practical support including:
– Counselling
– Help with crisis accommodation, Centrelink and child protection

They provide legal advice and representation in:
– Family violence restraining orders
– Current child protection matters
– Victims’ compensation where it relates to family violence
– Family law (parenting and divorce only)
