Below is a list of mental health support services, including youth mental health support, community mental health programs, mental health organisations, hospital mental health services and mental health education programs. If you cannot find local mental health support services for your area, there is a list of state and national mental health support services at the bottom of this page, including those offering counselling and referral services.

Mission Australia – Integrated Primary Mental Health Care (IPMHC)

Mission Australia delivers the Integrated Primary Mental Health Care (IPMHC) service across the Pilbara to people who are experiencing psychological distress, depression, anxiety and other symptoms of distress. A priority of this service is to deliver culturally secure support; MA subcontracts services to Bloodwood Tree for culturally appropriate services to Aboriginal people. The IPMHC provides brief intervention, counselling and case coordination. Individuals can be referred through General Practitioners and other Health Care Providers – self referrals are also accepted.

Karingal Neighbourhood Centre

The Community Health and Wellbeing team provide a range of services including sexual and reproductive health they also have a midwife, health promotion programs, mental health support and exercise classes.

Tom Price Youth Centre – Case Management, Counselling, Support & Advocacy and Mediation Services

Case Management, Counselling, Support & Advocacy and Mediation Services are provided in many areas of inquiry through referrals from other agencies, self-referrals and from parents who
may require assistance. Counselling is included in the case management process but some clients attend for counselling only, which is available in the following areas:

Lifeline is a national charity providing all Australians experiencing a personal crisis with access to 24 hour crisis support and suicide prevention services. They offer telephone, online chat and text support services. Telephone service are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Rurallink

Rurallink gives easy telephone access to experienced community mental health staff, with a focus on supporting people with mental health issues.

It is a confidential service that meets the needs of the community and delivering continuous care and support where needed. The service provides a single point of contact providing information, advice, assessment, and where required, referrals to other mental health services.

The Samaritans is a Western Australian based not for profit organisation providing telephone counselling for all sorts of worries including:

SANE Help Centre

The SANE Help Centre provides counselling, support, information and referrals to adults who identify as having a complex mental health issue, complex trauma or high levels of psychological distress. SANE services include telephone counselling, online chat service, email counselling support and community forums.
