Albany Youth Support Association – Reconnect

This free early intervention program for young people aged 12 to 18 years helps to build bridges and foster new ties between young people and their families. It also strengthens their connections with the community, and improves their engagement with work, education and training. Through Reconnect, outreach youth workers provide mentoring, advocacy, case management, family mediation, leadership and confidence activities, camps, and referrals to specialist services such as family counselling. Young people aged 12 to 18 years who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, and their families.

Albany Youth Support Association – SHOT

The Supported Housing Outreach and Tenancy (SHOT) program is for young people from 15 to 25 years of age who need housing support. Staff provide outreach to those living in AYSA’s six transitional houses, provided through the Southern Community Housing Association. Young people can stay in these houses for up to two years. SHOT youth workers help them access and engage in education, employment and training opportunities, setting them on the path towards financial independence. Also provides support to those with young children to enhance parenting skills.

AccordWest – Bunyap House

Located on Forest Avenue, Bunbury, Bunyap House helps young people enjoy the feeling of having a place to call ‘home’, giving them the opportunity to gain life skills, have a crack at washing, cooking and a bit of cleaning while receiving support for school or other education. With room for six, Bunyap House is a discrimination free zone.

1800RESPECT

1800RESPECT is a national sexual assualt and domestic violence counselling service.

1800RESPECT provide support and counselling for:

  • People experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, sexual assault, domestic or family violence
  • Their friends and family
  • Workers and professionals supporting someone experiencing, or at risk of experiencing sexual assault, domestic or family violence.

They can be contacted by phone or online chat, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
