Qlife

QLife provides Australia-wide anonymous, LGBTI peer support and referral for people wanting to talk about a range of issues including sexuality, identity, gender, bodies, feelings or relationships.

QLife services are free and include both telephone and webchat support, delivered by trained LGBTI community members across the country. Services are for LGBTI individuals, their friends and families, and health professionals in Australia.

Police and Community Youth Centre Kalgoorlie

The Centres programs are committed to supporting young people in the community by assisting with school participation, providing a safe place for young people to ‘hang out’ and by providing a number of activities in order to deter youth crime.

Pilbara Family and Domestic Violence Coordinated Response Service

West Pilbara Family & Domestic Violence Coordinated Response Service (CRS) assists victims of family and domestic violence who have had police attend an incident of family violence, which has resulted in a domestic violence incident report (DVIR). The CRS works alongside Western Australian Police, Child Protection and Family Support, and Department of Corrective Services, offering support to people at high risk of violence to build their safety, away from further abuse. CRS is delivered in the Pilbara and Geraldton in conjunction with numerous other lead agencies within the family and domestic violence service system.

PCYC – Albany

Albany PCYC exists so that disadvantaged children and young people at risk in the Albany area have a safe place to go – somewhere they feel at home, make friends and do things that young people should do.

Programs include:

  • safeSPACE – Strike II: Friday evening diversionary program for young people aged 10 – 17 years. The program engages young people away from antisocial behavior through activities such as basketball, soccer, movies, skateboarding, pool tables and hang out areas. Participants are provided with transport home at the end of the evening to eliminate antisocial behavior.
  • Police Rangers: Police Rangers is an adventure based, youth development program which, in partnership with Cadets WA, facilitates the commitment of WA Police to form positive relationships with young people. Open to young people of high school age, the program increases youth self-confidence, leadership, team building skills and self-esteem.

PCYC – Bunbury

Bunbury PCYC exists so that disadvantaged children and young people at risk in the Bunbury area have a safe place to go – somewhere they can feel at home, make friends and do things that young people should do.
Bunbury PCYC is located in the heart of Bunbury’s sporting precinct, Hay Park, and has access to an abundance of resources. Bunbury PCYC provides a range of structured activities in a safe and controlled environment and caters to all ages within the community. The Centre offers a large range of recreational activities, accredited training and youth programs for young people of all ages.

PCYC – Roebourne

Roebourne PCYC exists so that children and young people at risk in the Roebourne area have a safe place to go – somewhere they can feel at home, make friends and do things that young people should do.
With 99% of the young people attending Roebourne PCYC coming from an indigenous background, the main focus of the Centre is to provide a safe place for local young people, away from domestic violence and types of abuse.

PCYC – Geraldton

Geraldton PCYC exists so that disadvantaged children and young people at risk in the Geraldton area have a safe place to go – somewhere they can feel at home, make friends and do things that young people should do.
Geraldton PCYC provides a range of safe, inclusive and affordable recreational activities and youth engagement programs for all members of the community.
 
Geraldton PCYC works in close partnership with government and non-government agencies to improve conditions for young people within the community.
These include the WA Police Force, local schools and community service groups within the Midwest Region.

PCYC – Broome

Broome PCYC exists so that disadvantaged children and young people at risk across the Broome region have a safe place to go – somewhere they can feel at home, make friends and do things that young people should do.

Broome PCYC facilitates participation in sporting, recreation, cultural and community programs with an aim to encourage young people to achieve their best in life. The Centre caters to all ages through the provision of recreational activities such as boxing, gym classes and indoor soccer, and also delivers alternate education and diversionary programs.

Northam PCYC exists so that children and young people at risk in the Northam area have a safe place to go – somewhere they can feel at home, make friends and do things that young people should do.

Northam PCYC is an integral part of the local community delivering programs and activities not available anywhere else in the region. The Centre works closely with schools, community groups, the WA Police and other agencies to provide a variety of activities each week to cater for young peoples needs.

Northam PCYC caters to young people within the community by providing structured social and sporting activities in a safe and controlled environment and relies on community support and a loyal base of volunteers for the successful running of its activities.

Nirrumbuk Aboriginal Corporation-Pinakarra Youth Counselling Service

Pinakarra Youth Counselling Service assists youth with case management with one-to-one support, they develop and implement individual case management plans that target key underlying issues and priorities. They mentor and coach the individuals, giving them the confidence to achieve their goals. They continue to provide clients and families with the support they need. They assist youth with:
