An Aboriginal health care service designed to ensure their client’s journey through the health system meets their medical, health, social and cultural needs. Includes medical services for Aboriginal people and a wellbeing centre. WMHSAC is a bulk-billing service. Services include:
Provides a range of general practitioner services in Port Hedland Specialising in diabetes diagnoses and management, immunisations, injury management, women’s health, men’s health, and skin checks; services extend to a psychologist appointments available (by referral).
The Port Hedland Family Practice services include: Health assessments, care plans, pre-employment medicals, pap smears, women’s health, men’s health, minor surgery, ECG, spirometry testing, chronic disease management, skin cancer checks, pathology, podiatrist and psychologist.
The Hedland Well Women’s Centre Women’s Health Clinic facility is a free service provided by the Centre’s women’s health nurse and offers 30 minutes:
The Hedland Health Campus is a brand new, modern, purpose-built facility, providing a range of inpatient and outpatient facilities and primary health services including a 24 hour emergency department.
The WA Poisons Information Centre (WAPIC) is an emergency phone service to the states of Western Australia and South Australia and the Northern Territory providing management advice in cases of suspected poisoning and known poisonings. Advice is also provided on drug information and poisoning prevention.
