Relationships WA – 4families

4families is a free service that provides whatever support families and carers need, linking them to a variety of services to reduce family stress and enable children and young people to reach their full potential. They can provide:

  • Counselling and emotional support
  • Information and referrals
  • Psychosocial support and case work
  • Workshops, seminars and groups
  • Community development activities
  • Support for grandparents and carers
Focus is on prevention and early intervention by addressing issues that affect the mental and emotional well-being of children and young people.

Relationship Australia – Bunbury Family Resource Centre

They can help by providing information about family relationships at all stages – forming new relationships, overcoming relationship difficulties or dealing with separation. They can also refer you to other services that can help.

If you are parents experiencing separation, they will talk with you to help you focus on your children’s needs and help you decide what to do next. They can also provide Family Dispute Resolution sessions with the other parent or family members to help you agree on parenting arrangements.

Pilbara Family and Domestic Violence Coordinated Response Service

West Pilbara Family & Domestic Violence Coordinated Response Service (CRS) assists victims of family and domestic violence who have had police attend an incident of family violence, which has resulted in a domestic violence incident report (DVIR). The CRS works alongside Western Australian Police, Child Protection and Family Support, and Department of Corrective Services, offering support to people at high risk of violence to build their safety, away from further abuse. CRS is delivered in the Pilbara and Geraldton in conjunction with numerous other lead agencies within the family and domestic violence service system.

Parkerville Children and Youth Care advocate for and provide specialist care and services to those most vulnerable in the WA community, including children, young people and families who have experienced trauma from abuse.

Parkerville – Therapeutic Family Services

Therapeutic Family Services (TFS) encompasses multiple programmes operated by Parkerville Children and Youth Care, aimed at providing children, young people and their families with therapeutic support. TFS specialises in trauma and abuse related issues with a strong focus on, and experience in, assessing and treating children and young people in the out of home care system.

All TFS clinicians are experienced and include Psychologists, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists and Education Consultants and offer a range of services from formal psychotherapy for trauma and abuse related issues to family preservation services and community preservation services.

The Paraburdoo Children’s Service is day care 80 place service. They provide childcare services to:

  • The babies room caters for infants from 0 to 24 months.
  • The toddler room caters for children from 24 months to 3 years.
  • The kindy room caters for children from 3 years to 6 years.
  • The Out of School Care (OSC) caters for children 6 years to 12 years.

One Tree – Derby Children’s Service

One Tree’s Derby Children’s Service is a 49-place day care. With a:

  • Nursery room that caters for infants from 0 to 30 months.
  • Toddlers and kindy room that caters for children from 30 months to five years.
  • Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) that caters for children from kindergarten to year six (2pm to 5pm).
  • Vacation care caters for children from kindergarten to year six (7am to 5pm).

One Tree Community Services – Onslow Children’s Service

One Tree provide early and middle childhood education and care (including out of school hours care). The Onslow Children’s Service is a 48 place services that caters for children zero – six years in a mixed age environment.

We have an emergent program that provides many learning opportunities based on children’s interests.

We also take part in weekly excursions to a community playgroup.
