Bunbury Multicultural Group – This is Me Program

The ‘This is Me’ program presents migrant stories in public spaces and cafes throughout the year. Hosted by the Bunbury Multicultural Group in partnership with the City of Bunbury and ABC South West, people are encouraged to share their stories and experiences of settling into the South West in a safe, welcoming environment. This is Me helps to builds knowledge, awareness, harmony and acceptance in the greater Bunbury community.

Bunbury Multicultural Group – Driving To Make A Difference Project

The ‘Driving to make a Difference’ project is initiated by the Bunbury Multicultural Group and delivered in partnership with the Multicultural Services Centre WA. It gives culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) women the opportunity to have their driving lessons and their driving assessment paid for. This project develops the status of women, builds capacity and helps them become more confident and able to access community events and networks and integrate into community easier.

Multicultural Services Centre Bunbury

The Bunbury office of MSCWA administers a Federally-funded Settlement Support Program, for new migrants who have arrived in Australia (eligible clients must hold specific visas within the Humanitarian, Family or Skilled streams, or be a dependent of those visa holders). They offer Peer Support groups, group information sessions, craft and social activities for women, free English lessons, Homework Help and other programs for Youth as well as school-aged young people. They also provide some casework, advocacy, and referrals support, may be able to offer help in financial crises.

Multicultural Services Centre

Multicultural Services Centre of Western Australia Inc. (MSC) is an established provider of diverse community services and programs. MSC has been supporting culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) Western Australians for over four decades and aims to address the unmet needs of migrants and refugees. Services include: Aged Care; Disability; Emergency Relief; Family Mediation; Housing; Jobs & Skills Centre; Mental Health; Settlement; and Temporary Australian Residents.

Australian Red Cross – Family and Domestic Violence Program – Migration Support

The Family and Domestic Violence program is available to all people on temporary visas or with uncertain visa status, experiencing family and domestic violence and in need of financial support. Under the year-long pilot program, we will be providing up to $3,000 in financial assistance to people who are eligible to help cover expenses such as accommodation, food, and medical care.
