The Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) is a free service to help eligible migrants and humanitarian entrants with low English levels to improve their English language skills and settle into Australia, offered through a local service provider. The Salvation Army provides a wide range of services around the country to support women and women with children impacted by family and domestic violence. We understand that experiencing family violence can be frightening and isolating. We offer refuge, children’s and parenting services, counselling, support, men’s programs, accommodation and advice to women and children who are experiencing, or who have experienced, family violence.
 
The Salvation Army is committed to providing services that are inclusive to people of all genders, ages, people living with a disability, and those from LGBTIQ+ and CALD communities.

Australian Red Cross – Family and Domestic Violence Program – Migration Support

The Family and Domestic Violence program is available to all people on temporary visas or with uncertain visa status, experiencing family and domestic violence and in need of financial support. Under the year-long pilot program, we will be providing up to $3,000 in financial assistance to people who are eligible to help cover expenses such as accommodation, food, and medical care.
