Northam Caravan Park

Northam Caravan Park offers accommodation including cabins (single, twin & family), Caravan Sites & Camping. All Cabins are self contained, include linen, a kitchenette and you own private ensuite.

Ngnowar-Aerwah Aboriginal Corporation services include: Individual drug and alcohol counselling and group work in the community of Wyndham

  • A 13 -19 week residential rehabilitation service with case management
  • Men’s Shed: Provides men specific health and education programs
  • The Building Solid Families Program: Social and emotional wellbeing counselling service that also provides educational programs within the schools.
  • Sobering Up Shelter: A safe place for intoxicated community members to spend the night.
  • Night Patrol: Picks up intoxicated people from the street, taking them to a safe place
  • Binge Drinking Program. Targeted at youth through musical activities
  • Safe House: A place for women and children escaping family violence

Ngnowar Aerwah Safe House

The Safe House provides crisis accommodation to women, with or without children, impacted by family and domestic violence or other forms of crisis. The Ngnowar Aerwah Aboriginal Corporation also offers various other services including community centre programs, advocacy, drug and alcohol counselling and rehabilitation, and family support.

Munga Tharndu Maya Women’s Refuge

Provides specialist homelessness services and short term crisis and refuge accommodation for women, with or without children, experiencing or at risk of homelessness due to family or domestic violence or other forms of crisis.

Mission Australia – THRIVE Pilbara

THRIVE supports tenants of Public Housing and Aboriginal Housing who experience difficulties sustaining their tenancy. THRIVE also supports people who may be homeless and those on a housing waitlist, who have 12 months or less wait for a property.

Thrive case managers work with individuals and families to help them develop skills, knowledge and links to community services and resources that will help them to address often complex issues which affect their tenancy.

The service is provided across the Pilbara and remote areas in collaboration with Bloodwood Tree.

Broome Aboriginal Short Stay Accommodation

When you need to visit Broome to conduct family and personal business, Broome Aboriginal Short Stay Accommodation (BASSA) is an option that is affordable, safe and secure.

BASSA has 44 units available with single, double and family beds. Twelve of those units have disability access. When you stay at BASSA you will be provided with breakfast and an evening meal.  On site BASSA also offers a laundry, BBQ area, children’s playground and basketball court. The facility has 24/7 security surveillance for your safety and provides a shuttle service into Broome.

Men’s Domestic Violence Helpline

The Men’s Domestic Violence Helpline is a state wide 24 hour service. This service provides counselling for men who are concerned about becoming violent or abusive. The service can provide:

  • telephone counselling
  • information and referral to ongoing face to face services if required

Information and support is also available for men who have experienced family and domestic violence
